Our women’s team have a good start to the Surrey League cross country season finishing third in division 2 at Wimbledon Common.  While the men are a bit dissapointed to finish 4th in their division 3 fixture at Epsom Downs.

The inaugural Sandilands Cup has now finished.

Bad, but not unexpected,  news after the final Surrey League cross country fixtures at Lloyd Park on Feb. 7th.
Our men’s team is relegated from division 2, finishing last of the nine teams.
Our women’s team stay in division 2 after finishing 7th in the league – one place short of promotion.
On the plus side we had 26 starters for the men (one of our highest totals ever), 10 for the women (equal highest) and again had a complete team for the girls Under 13 competition.
The day also marked Gerry Crispie’s final cross country fixture for Striders. He reckons he’s run 38 Surrey League races since joining the club in 1991. Gerry plans to move to Cardiff permanently – we wish him all the best.
